I absolutely adore Science Museum Oklahoma because they have something for every child’s interest. This 390,000-square-foot OKC children’s museum has exhibits both inside and out, giving you something new to explore each time you are there. As you venture throughout the building, you can check out life-sized dinosaur displays complete with interactive activities that will give your child a firsthand look at the prehistoric world. Once you are done here, you can head to the Science Floor, where your child will get to choose from hundreds of activities, including a 400-pound pendulum weight.
If your child would prefer more hands-on activities, you can head to the Tinkering Garage, where they can combine art and science with engineering to build their own creations. Outside, you can explore The Gardens where you will find native plants as well as aquaculture and permaculture demonstrations. There are even lawn games for a fun outdoor activity!
Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum

If you are looking for the perfect OKC spot for younger kids, you are going to absolutely love Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum–or JMCM, for short! This interactive center firmly believes that children learn the best through play! Throughout the building, you are going to find tons of hands-on displays that encourage open-ended play. Over in the Science Wing, your child can pretend to care for newborns or check out the latest traveling exhibit. Over on Main Street, your child can explore a make-believe village complete with a veterinarian office, a school, and a grocery store. The outdoor area has a playground where your child can get out some energy while learning how muscles work. Once you are all done exploring the center, you can head over to the working train so your family can explore the campus in style!
