Spring break can be such an exciting time for your kids. They get to escape school for a bit and spend some time with their friends, making some memories! But just because your child’s schedule clears doesn’t mean yours does, too. You still have a million responsibilities, plus you now have to nod along and smile as your child says, “Hey, Mom, watch this!” more times than you can count. If you want to give your child a fun yet productive way to spend their time, you should consider a camp focused on their favorite topics! As an Oklahoma City family photographer, I adore working with families to tell them about all the best local spots. Here are the spring break camps in OKC I think your child will love!

Camp Fire HOK gives your child a few ways to spend their break. They offer a Holiday Outdoor Camp during fall and spring breaks. During this time, your child will get to do all sorts of great outdoor activities, including rock climbing, ga-ga ball, and field games. If none of that appeals to them, they can come just for the zipline! The center also offers a Life in the Theater camp where your child will get to go behind the scenes as they help to put on a production. Sessions fill up fast, so be sure to sign up quickly!

If your child lives life a little on the wild side, OKC Zoo might just be the camp for them this spring break! Their programs are just as fun as they are educational. Built for kiddos ages 5-12, the camp lets kids explore the habitats of some of their favorite critters. You will drop them off first thing in the morning so they can get an early start as official caretakers. They will spend the entire day learning about the animals from a curriculum and meeting ambassador animals. You’ll then pick them up in the evening. The camp lasts for an entire week without individual day options.

Artsy Rose Academy is always my top spring break camp recommendation for creative OKC kids. This inclusive program taps into your child’s love of art through full-day programs where they can make one-of-a-kind creations. They can draw, paint, make collages, and more. They will make around 2-3 art projects each day they are there. From there, they might play board games or play outside. Not only is this available during spring break, but they offer programs pretty much anytime your child’s school is closed. This is available for kids ages 5-13.
If you need a fun way for your child to stay active, I think you are going to adore these spring break camps in OKC! No matter your child’s interests, they are going to have the perfect place!
