Fall is one of the best seasons. Finally, we get a break from the relentless Oklahoma heat. This is the time to ditch the lemonade for pumpkin lattes and throw on cozy sweaters even if we know we might still be sweating by 11 AM. If you are looking for the best way to kick off this magical season, I would love to help you out! As an Oklahoma City family photographer, I adore helping families find brand-new ways to make some memories. Here are the fall festivals in OKC I always recommend!

Every year, the Myriad Botanical Gardens in OKC hosts their Pumpkinville fall festival. This is available throughout most of October. During this time, you can stroll through the gardens and check out displays that have been crafted from over 30,000 pumpkins and gourds. The grounds set up tons of photo opportunities for that Insta-perfect moment. They also have activities such as pumpkin painting, educational programs, face painting, and daily crafts. They open up their carousel and offer unlimited rides free with your admission. In addition to their regular activities, they create a new theme each year with special displays tailored to it.

If you ask me, fall is not complete without a visit to the Orr Family Farm and festival in OKC! There are several things that make this patch a must-visit. First of all, their patch is loaded with pumpkins, which are perfect for anything from carving to decorating. They also have some of the best attractions, including carnival rides, corn mazes, hay rides, and giant tube slides. Oh, and I haven’t even started on their legendary chocolate chip cookies! While all ages are going to fall in love with this farm, it’s especially great for kids from 2-12. If you feel like really making this trip special, be sure to check out their glamping options for a mini stay-cay!

Wings is an organization that seeks to do a lot of good throughout the community. This center was founded to provide opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. While the OKC organization does work year-round, their fall festival remains a family favorite! This is held for a few weeks from late September through early October. During this time, you can come by with your child and play some games, go for a hayride, and pick out some pumpkins. They bring out inflatables and a petting zoo to make your time extra memorable. All the money raised goes to fund this awesome group!
With these fall festivals in OKC, you are going to have the perfect way to welcome in the new season. Start making your plans so you can make plenty of memories this autumn!
